Terms of Use
Effective date: July 22, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Onset website and application at onset.show, together with related features and services (the "Service"), operated by Onset Digital LLC ("Onset," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Onset is
Onset is an event-discovery service that helps you find electronic-music events, concerts, and festivals, primarily in the Salt Lake City area. We compile and organize listings — including dates, times, venues, lineups, age restrictions, and pricing — and link out to third-party ticketing, venue, and streaming sites. Onset is an independent guide; we are not a ticket seller, promoter, venue, or event organizer.
2. Event information is provided "as is" — verify before you rely on it
Event details change frequently and are gathered from many sources. We work to keep listings accurate and current, but we do not warrant that any listing is accurate, complete, or up to date. Set times move, prices change, age restrictions shift, lineups get added or dropped, and events get postponed or cancelled.
Before buying tickets, traveling to, or attending any event, confirm the details directly with the venue, promoter, or official ticketing source. You rely on any listing at your own risk, and Onset is not responsible for any loss arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated event information.
3. Tickets and third-party sites
Onset links to third-party websites and services, including ticketing platforms, venue and promoter pages, and music-streaming and social profiles. We do not operate, control, or endorse those sites, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, policies, or practices.
Any ticket purchase or other transaction is solely between you and the third party providing it. Onset is not a party to it and has no role in payment, entry, fulfillment, refunds, or disputes. We aim to link only to primary or face-value sources and do not knowingly link to aftermarket resale, but we cannot guarantee any third party's conduct, availability, or prices.
4. No affiliation; third-party names and marks
Onset is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any venue, promoter, artist, festival, or ticketing platform listed on the Service. Names, logos, and trademarks of third parties are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only. Their appearance on the Service does not imply any partnership or endorsement.
5. Your use of the Service; license
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
6. Things you may not do
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or use any automated means to access or extract data or listings from the Service;
- copy, reproduce, republish, sell, license, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service or any of its listings, data, database, or compilation;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others;
- interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or its systems; or
- remove or obscure any proprietary notices.
The listings, and their selection and arrangement, are Onset's proprietary compilation, and this Section protects them.
7. Intellectual property
The Service — including the Onset name and logo, software, design, text, graphics, and the selection, arrangement, and compilation of listings — is owned by Onset Digital LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license above, these Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service or in our trademarks.
8. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
We respect the intellectual-property rights of others and respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). If you believe material available through the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, please send a written notice to our designated agent.
Designated agent: Onset Digital LLC, Attn: DMCA Agent, 611 S Main St, Unit 816, Salt Lake City, UT 84111. Email: edward@onset.show. U.S. Copyright Office registration number DMCA-1076038.
To be effective, your notice must include:
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough information for us to locate it (for example, the event listing or URL);
- your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Counter-notification: if material you submitted was removed or disabled and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same agent containing the information required by the DMCA. Repeat infringers: in appropriate circumstances, we may remove material and terminate access for users who repeatedly infringe.
9. Submissions
If you send us event information, corrections, feedback, or other materials, you represent that you have the right to do so, and you grant Onset a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that material in connection with operating and improving the Service. Please do not send confidential information; we treat unsolicited submissions as non-confidential.
10. Notifications and communications
If you opt in to push notifications, you consent to receive event-related notifications from Onset. You can turn them off at any time through your browser or device settings, or through any in-app control we provide. How we handle the associated data is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty regarding accuracy, availability, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Onset Digital LLC and its members, officers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, any event listing, or any third-party site or transaction — even if we have been advised of the possibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Onset Digital LLC and its members, officers, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. When we change these Terms, we will update the "Effective date" above. Material changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.
16. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The state and federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah will be the exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
17. General
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Onset regarding the Service.
