Onset is a free electronic music discovery site for Northern Utah. It pulls shows from a lot of scattered sources into one feed, with everything you need to decide whether to go.
Every show gets the detail you need to narrow it down. Three shows in one night without breaking the bank? Filter by price. Only there for drum & bass? Filter by that. Always have a good night in one particular room? Filter by venue.
Find the one that's your vibe. That's the whole idea.
Where we cover
Northern Utah, for now. We'd rather cover one place properly than everywhere thinly — and that won't change as we grow.
How the listings get here
A person puts every one of them in. We read the venue and promoter calendars, we check the official ticket pages, and promoters send us their flyers directly.
A poster and a link are the easy part. What's harder is knowing who's actually playing, what they're known for, and where they came from — that's the context we add to every show. We also check prices and whether something's sold out against the official page a few times a day.

Who runs it
Onset is made by Salt Lake City locals who care about this music and the community around it. We keep building it so more people find their way in.
