open format

Not a sound but a DJ format: a set that moves freely between hip hop, house, pop, Latin and throwbacks, reading the room instead of staying in one lane. Standard in nightclubs, weddings and Vegas-style residencies, and the honest label for a night with no single genre. No documented origin — this is industry usage, not a musical movement.
